Behind The Scenes!

Pre-Launch Phase ✨

The build-out is nearly complete.

After years of training, teaching, and moving through New York City studios, I’ve learned exactly what works—and what truly supports the body in motion.

We’re now in the final stage of pre-launch beautification: installing the finishing details, refining textures and light, and bringing our studio fully to life.

Every touch is intentional.
Every choice is informed by experience.
Every element supports how you move.

This isn’t just a studio coming together—it’s a space shaped by NYC standards, reimagined for Pittsburgh.

Meet Tabytha

Tabytha Camille Bates, a certified Pilates instructor, founded Pittsburgh Pilates to create a thriving community centered on movement, education, and connection. She began her Pilates journey in 2008 while completing her BFA in Performance and Choreography at Ohio University, where she trained extensively on the Cadillac, Reformer, Chair, and Mat, and taught Pilates to non-major dance students. She went on to earn her MA in Studio Related Studies with a Certificate in Community Practice through the Arts at Florida State University (2012), where she developed wellness plans for both injured and non-injured dancers utilizing the Reformer and Cadillac.

Her career expanded in New York City, where she began by working with private clients in boutique studios before moving into larger gyms such as David Barton Gym and Equinox. Eventually, she joined New York Pilates in the West Village, teaching group reformer classes ranging from 7 to 25 machines, with a focus on their signature Abs, Arms, & Ass classes.

With certifications through Power Pilates and Balanced Body University, Tabytha brings over 15 years of experience bridging dance, education, and Pilates. Her teaching style integrates precision, creativity, and community care—empowering clients from all walks of life to strengthen their bodies, improve posture, and deepen their mind-body connection.
